Client Support

Most of our Grandcarers (grandparents and kinship carers) are not a part of the traditional “child placement system”. The majority of Grandcarers play the role of informal primary carers for child care for different reasons.

Informal primary carers are grandparents and other kinship carers who have become full time primary carers of children, but have no legislative instrument or legal parental status to formalise their caring role of the child or children.

We provide:

Guidance and Referrals : Our team resources and referral directories are researched, regularly updated and effective.

Information : Our provision of support to Grandcarers is through every step of their journey. We gather and circulate information for our clients.

Support : We actively strive to support  Grandcarers in different  ways. We encourage Grandcarers to attend our village peer support meetings, build social networks, and take an opportunity to share your challenges and seek solutions.

Financial Assistance : We offer limited financial reimbursements to help with the cost of education and development expenses through a dedicated fund for the children who are in the care of Grandcarers
